Meet the Coaches

Keith Carter, Owner/President

Coach Carter opened up Naperville Gymnastics in 1992. He started the business through the YMCA back in 1988. He has been coaching for 45 years! He is currently the head coach of the USTA Co-Ed Tumbling Team. He also coaches the recreational, preschool & developmental & Xcel Team levels as well as assisting coach for the USAG team girls.

Shannon Murphy, Head Coach

Coach Shannon has been coaching gymnastics for 24 years!  She has been at Naperville Gymnastics for 20 years.  She is our team administrator, meet director and our girls team coach (all levels).  She is a former gymnast, cheerleader, dancer, track athlete & musician.  Her daughter, Coach Brittany, was also a level 10 gymnast at NGC. Now she is even able to teach her granddaughter, Leila (7), as well!  Coach Shannon has taught gymnasts that began at NGC in preschool and has watched them become full-ride collegiate athletes.

Brittany Jackson-Delk

Coach Brittany has coached at NGC since 2007.  She is our team choreographer and coaches Level 9 & 10 as well as our Hopes/Junior Elite Program.  She was the national vault champion in 2008.   Coach Brittany enjoys this sport so much because she loves gymnastics and strives to maximize the potential and talent of each athlete.  She also teaches them to communicate. “It's so important for kids to have a voice, be themselves and have a vision.”   Her job and goal is guiding the girls to whatever they feel they need or want from this sport.  The relationship and understanding between herself and the athlete is considered teamwork.  She loves that each girl knows she has her back on the good days and the bad. “I’ve been through a lot as an athlete and try to use what I have learned as a gymnast and a coach to connect with each girl.”

KJ Carter

Coach KJ is a full time recreational, preschool and part time team coach since 2005.  He is the son of Coach Carter.  He is a former gymnast and dancer. KJ coaches everything from preschool gymnastics, boys gymnastics, Xcel & Compulsory Girls team through Level 6.
